New Shop Additions and Finds

Found this large Heller server at the local consignment shop and then discovered later that day that Massimo Vignelli had died. Check out this great article on him in The Washington Post.

So excited to find a Kay Bojesen in the wild, I don't even see these guys in the local antique shops. You can find him here.

I guess I have the strength of the vikings on my side now.

Turquoise stripes get me every single time. Love the retro logo on this mug.

Estate sales are in full swing, welcome warm weather, I've missed you so. Anyways, this may have been the only reason I was one of those stand in line outside the house until the sale starts people.. Totally worth it: Butterprint Pyrex

Stopped at my parent's house to admire my mom's native wild flower garden. I love the Bleeding Heart, I always get it confused with Dutchmen's Britches though...

That One Time in May it SNOWED..

Work decided not to give me any hours this week, so I spent most of the week on the road.

Found this Finel cup on my trip to Wisconsin.

This is my creepy thrift find of the week.. Rawr...

Scored a free ticket to an Avicii concert and basically saw a cool light show.

Yeah.. then it SNOWED.

Saw this guy at an Estate sale.. I love the design, but am ultimately happy about modern washers.

Moved my brother home for the summer.. Found out what he spends ALL of his college meal plan on. #candyforever

Got out and enjoyed the beautiful budding trees #tryingtobeartsy

Made some awesome Mango Lassi popsicles, then proceeded to pose the popsicle next to my mom's painting.. (TONGUE TWISTER MUCH?)

Made Henry take a selfie with me… He's not amused.

Stopped for coffee and missed the jadeite batter bowl at this estate sale.. Came away with these. Diamonds are a girl's best friend

Start of May

It's been a pretty good thrifting week. I found a turquoise Amish Print Pyrex bowl that I tried to do some rehab on.. Unfortunately, this bowl was beyond my help. Still it looks good with some fruit in it.

Before:

 I soaked the bowl in Lemi Shine for a couple hours, I was able to get the stains off but not restore that glorious Pyrex sheen. Perhaps this will work on a less damaged bowl.
